Used tire art
Some people can any type of junk and make something beautiful out of it. Such is the case here, where some artists had the brilliant idea of using used car tires to create wonderful works of art. I’m really impressed with that black armor, but the others don’t look half bad either. This should be a lesson to all of us, just because something looks used doesn’t make it useless.
Sex Machine Bicycles
I don’t know who came up with the idea but he’s going to make a lot of horny riders happy! Now what teenager wouldn’t love to have a naked babe bending over as he rides his bike? I tell you this will give a lot of pimple-faced nerds the time to score for a change and will make the inventor a very rich man, if they don’t ban these things for offensive nudity.
Wooden bike
Another proof of artistic genius at work. I’ve seen chairs and tables made of this stuff, but I never imagined a detailed bike could be created. I’m glad I was wrong, it’s nice to know everything is possible. My respects to the artist.
Great use of a used plane
This is El Avion, a famous plane now turned into a bar. El Avion is a model C-123 Fairchild and it can be found in Costa Rica and it has quite an unusual story. I for one really didn’t get much of it, but the bottom line is that it was abandoned by the USA at the San Jose airport, in 1986, after its identical sister plane was shot down over Nicaragua, leading to the capture of a one Eugene Hasenfus by the Sandinista army. Apparently there was a huge scandal regarding this incident at the time, but right now El Avion remains just a place where you can come and get a really expensive drink.
The Hungarian Eagle
You might think this helicopter is American when you first look at it, you would be wrong. This painted masterpiece is actually a Mi-24 Hind helicopter and it belongs to theHungarian Air Force. You might have seen photos of this beautifully painted aircraft on other sites, with descriptions like “this American Eagle helicopter is currently on duty in Afghanistan (or Iraq) raining hell on terrorists”, but the truth is The Eagle was painted by its own crew and it was never intended for combat, i is simply a vehicle presented at air shows. So remember, appearances can be deceiving.
Bicycles Made Out of Gold
Designers from the Scandinavian firm Aurumania have created a limited series of10 bikes made out of solid gold. Each piece of every bike was created by hand and the whole thing decorated with 600 Swarovsky crystals. The bikes all come with a leather seats and horns and they each cost around 80,000 dollars. I’d buy one of these gold designer bicycles if I knew how to ride one and…if I could afford it.
Cadillac Ranch
What’s the weirdest thing you could possibly see in the desert? Sure, an iceberg or something, but you have to admit that ten half buried Cadillacs come pretty close. And when they’re all covered in graffiti, it just makes things even weirder. The Cadillac Ranch was created in 1974, in Amarillo, Texas by members of an art group called Ant Farm. It’s made up by 10 old Cadillac models dating from 1949 to 1963 and it means to symbolize a number of evolutions of the car line. All theten Cadillacs are tilted towards the west, at an angle corresponding to that of thePyramids at Gyza. The Cadillac Ranch can be seen when driving on Highway 66
The Floating Guitar
And I don’t mean just any guitar… This is an exact replica of Australian singer Josh Pike’s favorite guitar. He had it built for his next music video, entitled “Make You Happy”. Josh was never very popular on an international level, but now that he has a guitar boat, he’s definitely going places. For those of you who were wondering, no, the guitar boat is not playable, but then again you would need giant hands to try it and find out, so I guess it remains a mistery.
